Happy Friday Grade 1 families,

What a wonderful fun week we had! Lots of things going on in our classroom as we prepare for the end of the school year.

HUGE thank you to all the students who returned their library books for the final return. Awesome to see! Please see Mrs. Norman's kind words below.

"Hi Tasha

Thank you for bringing your students in today. I always love reading and speaking with them.

I checked in all the books and.....

THERE ARE NO MORE CHECKED OUT!!!

Super proud of your group. They and you are all rockstars ❤️

Thank you for all of your support this year. Best year ever!!"

This week a highlight was in gym, Our learning intentions for gymnastics were;

  • I can balance my body in different ways using different body parts.
  • I can move safely through space while doing gymnastics activities.
  • I can create different body shapes at high, medium, and low levels.
  • I can show control when rolling, rocking, and balancing.
  • I can use strong and safe body movements during gymnastics.
  • I can travel in different directions using gymnastics movements.
  • I can demonstrate body awareness while moving on mats and equipment.
  • I can follow safety rules during gymnastics activities.
  • I can try challenging movements using my personal best effort.
  • I can combine movements to create a simple gymnastics sequence.
  • I can cooperate respectfully with others during gymnastics activities.
  • I can describe how physical activity makes my body feel.
