Happy Sunday families, I hope you all have enjoyed this beautiful weather we had this week and weekend, hard to believe it is February!
Thank you again to all the families who continue to participate in our decodable book home reading program.
Reminder, Library is on Wednesday for our classroom. Also this Wednesday we will be celebrating Valentine's Day!
There is no school Thursday and Friday for Teacher convention. As well as Monday is the family day long weekend.
Some of our learning intentions for this week were in Math (2D Shapes). Our students focused on:
I can identify and name 2D shapes such as circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, and hexagons.

I can describe 2D shapes by talking about their sides, corners, and curved or straight edges.

I can sort and classify 2D shapes based on their attributes.

I can compare 2D shapes by explaining how they are the same and different.

I can find 2D shapes in my environment, such as in the classroom or at home.

I can draw 2D shapes using correct attributes, such as straight sides and corners.

I can combine 2D shapes to create a picture or design.

I can explain my thinking about why a shape belongs in a group.

I can use math words like side, corner, edge, and curve when talking about shapes.

I can create a shape monster by using and labeling different 2D shapes to show my understanding.
